The most important thing for a digitizer to know is how each of the types of stitches will sew out and how they interact with each other. Almost all designs are a large combination of the above stitches and being able put them together in a useful combination is an art that takes time to learn.

Digitzing is an art and some digitizers are better than others. It can be learned with many years of practice but it definitely helps to have an artistic ability. It is vital for an embroiderer to find a quality digitizer in order for the designs to look as good as possible.

Digitizing is where the real measure of an embroidery design is decided and it is well worth it to spend a little extra to have more time put into a design by a quality digitizer. This will after all be the design that you will use from now on. Shouldn't it be the best?
